Back pain causes sex problems more than headaches

Our countrymen’s sex lives suffer more from back pain than headaches, it has been reported.  Ten per cent of the UK citizenry has reported that they forgo sex more often because of back pain.  Somewhat surprisingly, the women report that they give up sex due to the discomfort of back pain more often than men.

Over half of the population has severe back pain once a month and ten per cent of us apparently have slept on the floor rather than in bed in an attempt to find relief.  Experts say that drawing the conclusion that sex will make back troubles worse is incorrect.

Dr. Ralph Rogers, London Orthopedic Clinic, says that remaining still is about the worst thing you can do for back pain.  He recommends exercise to help with chronic back pain and says that having a spine support that lets you move around is important.
