Back pain statistics

Statistically speaking, 27 – 40% suffer from back pain. About 70% have pain at least once a year and about 80% at least once in their lives. Thus it is rather Back pain statisticsa common disease compared to internationally.  However, comparisons are problematic. Sections of the spine, the thoracic spine (thoracic spine) is affected in percentage terms most frequently.

Back pain is the infection of the respiratory tract, the second leading cause of doctor visits.  14% of men suffer and 11% of women. It is the second leading cause of lost productivity.

The most frequent back pain age group is the registered 50 to 70 year olds. Children are no exception due to lack of exercise, watching TV and playing computer games, there has been an emergence of postural problems. The economic significance of the various diseases of the spine is enormous. For most, early retirement spinal complaints are more or less directly the cause for retirement.
