Spine stabilization surgery advances bring improved results

A group of spine specialists from the Reconstructive Spine Surgery in Long Island are pleased to announce positive results they have seen as a result of the technical advances that have been made utilizing spine stabilization surgery.

Member of the reconstructive team, Dr. Marc Agulnick, stated that patients that have deformities are benefiting from the modern comprehension of the biomechanics of the spine.

“Not only do we know more about spine stabilization surgery, but there have been great technical advances in the tools used during surgery,” Dr. Agulnick says. “The instruments we’re using now are both stronger and lighter than before.”

Dr. Benjamin Cohen, another member of the Reconstructive Spine Surgery team, is certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery. He treats a wide range of neck and back conditions related to both illnesses and injury.

Dr. Thomas Davenport, a plastic surgeon at Reconstructive Spine Surgery, says that specializing in a specific area of medicine has allowed him to perfect his skills.
